Magnetic Field Magnitude
This calculator uses the following equation:
B = F / (Q * v * sin(A))Where:
B = F/ (Q*v) [If v is perpendicular to B]
- B = Magnetic Field Magnitude
- F = Force
- Q = Stationary positive charge
- v = Velocity
- A = Angle of velocity in relation to B
Note that when the velocity is perpendicular to the magnitude of the magnetic field that you can eliminate the end of the formula because the sin of 90° is 1.
